Wordless Wednesday

I am a proud resident of a military town - this statue is located at the Naval Aviation Monument at the Virginia Beach oceanfront and depicts another homecoming - a family greeting their Navy husband and father.  This sight is a common one for those of us who live here and never fails to stir emotion.

Yes, most definitely....this most definitely stirs the emotions!!! I love sculptures anyway, so this is a special treat.

A sculpture with a pretty straight-forward message for a change (I say for a change because I've been looking at some of the other kind recently).

"never fails to stir emotion" is right! I always cry when I watch these homecomings on the news.

What a great subject you're currently focusing on. In today's photo I love the joy in the little girl's movement as she greets her father.
